FunctSNP is an R package for linking SNPs to functional knowledge. Functional knowledge is obtained from several online resources:

dbAutoMaker is used to generate the local DB files used by FunctSNP. For convenience, we maintain DB files for several species which can be installed from within FunctSNP:

Bos taurus (cow) Gallus gallus (chicken) Sus scrofa (pig) Ovis aries (sheep) Homo sapiens (human)
