FunctSNP is an R package for linking SNPs to functional knowledge. Functional knowledge is obtained from several online resources:

dbAutoMaker is used to generate the local DB files used by FunctSNP. For convenience, we maintain DB files for several species which can be installed from within FunctSNP:

Bos taurus (cow) Gallus gallus (chicken) Sus scrofa (pig) Ovis aries (sheep) Homo sapiens (human)

FunctSNP was developed by the systems genetics group of CSIRO Livestock Industries with input from the University of New England (UNE).
